The plant was started-up successfully in Torbalı town close to Izmir.

Konya based company selected SIGMA second time as their solution partner to provide the hot-mix asphalt of the “Belevi – Tire” road project they contracted. The customer was so much satisfied with the performance and after sales services of the SIGMA plant established in 2018 at their Balikesir/ Dursunbey jobsite that they decided without any doubt in favour of SIGMA, when they needed another asphalt plant. After completion of the installation and start-up works, the plant was commissioned successfully in August.

Natural gas is used as fuel and bitumen is heated by thermal oil. The plant is fully computer controlled and equipped with horizontal bitumen tanks and 1.000.000 kcal/h thermal oil heater. Agitators on the bitumen tanks enable storage of PMB (polymer modified bitumen) whenever needed. The plant was tested at full capacity and expected to have more hot-mix production in 2020.

The electrical control system along with all switchboards is located inside the upper container with air conditioning and underneath a second container is delivered as standard with air compressor and site cables entry. The double containers provide a more aesthetic appearance as well as a bottom storage facility for maintenance tools.
