240 tons/hour capacity PRIMA 240 model SIGMA Plant operates successfully in Ukraine.

Being ordered by the Ukrainian distributor of SIGMA in February 2020, the plant has been manufactured in a short period of time and shipped in April. Due to the unfortunate Covid period which affected the whole world, assembly of the plant started in early July following the end of quarantine and lockdown periods. After a period of about three weeks, installation was completed. The plant was then started up successfully and commissioned at a capacity even higher than the guaranteed value.

The plant was purchased by one of the major road construction companies in Ukraine and installed in the city of Khmelnitsky. The responsible managers of the company stated that they saw the SIGMA plant first time in BAUMA 2019 exhibition and that they were impressed by its technology and quality. Having investigated about other SIGMA plants operating abroad; after visiting and observing them in operation, they decided to purchase their new asphalt plant from SIGMA.

Being the first SIGMA asphalt plant in Ukraine, the plant is fully automatic and computer controlled. Natural gas is used as fuel and thermal oil heated bitumen tanks and oil heater are also included in the scope of supply. The plant started operation in the beginning of August and 100.000 tons of hot mix was produced in a period of three months. The officials of the company declared that they are very satisfied with the performance of the SIGMA plant, which is the excellent result of Italian – Turkish engineering cooperation.
